Learning Objective: The objectives of this course are to teach students:

  1. Develop in students the ability to apply communication tools that are appropriate in the workplace
  2. Prepare students to communicate ideas confidently and effectively through oral and written tasks
  3. Help students evaluate the effectiveness of their communication in professional setting

Content: The communication process; critical thinking and reasoning; adapting to and collaborating with others; meaning and nonverbal communication; planning, writing and completing business messages; employment messages and interviewing; planning, preparing and delivering presentations

 The following Major Prescribe Electives (Major-PE) are available in Year 2 Semester 2.

*In Year 2 Semester 2, all students are required to register for three Major PEs.

** Approval from the School of Biological Sciences is required to overload more than 3AUs in a semester.
