Double Degree B.Sc. (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences & B.Medicine (Chinese Medicine)


Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements:
For GCE 'A' level certificate holders:
  1. General entry requirements of NTU
  2. At least H1 level pass in Mathematics AND H2 level pass in one of Physics OR Chemistry OR Biology
  3. At least ‘O’ level pass or equivalent in Chinese Language
Note: Students with “A” grades in H2 or H3 subjects, may be considered for course exemptions.
For Polytechnic graduates:
  1. General entry requirements of NTU
  2. Graduates holding any of the diplomas listed are eligible for application. Graduates with a Certificate of Merit (or equivalent honour) in other diplomas are also eligible to apply.
  3. At least ‘O’ level pass or equivalent in Chinese Language
Note: There is no direct 2nd year entry into this programme.

Discretionary Criteria Scheme (DA) Scheme:
Applicants with exception talents and/or outstanding achievements beyond schools’ co-curricular activities can be considered, subject to a minimum level of academic competence, for admissions under Discretionary Admissions (DA).
Health Requirements:
  1. Students with colour blindness are not eligible for the course.
  2. Screening for blood-borne diseases such as Hepatitis B should be carried out before final admission into the course, as results may affect students’/ schools’ decision in continuing with the course.
Other Requirements:
This double degree programme is a collaboration between NTU and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM). As part of China’s regulation, applicants with citizenship (including Singapore Permanent Residents) from China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan are not eligible to apply for this programme.
