On the Fast Track and Loving It - BSc (Hons) in 2½ years!

Heng Yi Wen was on the Accelerated Bachelor’s Programme (ABP) and graduated one semester earlier than most of her classmates.

Our regular Biological Sciences programme takes 4 years to complete, so ABP equates to 3˝ years. However, for Yi Wen, a Singapore Polytechnic graduate, this Fast Track equated to 2˝ years. Why? – you may wonder. Like other outstanding polytechnic students, she was admitted directly to the 2nd year of the Biological Sciences programme, and later, ABP. You can do the maths – that’s why it is 2˝ years…

Yi Wen worked on cell cycle control for her Final Year Project and decided to pursue her PhD at our School under the supervision of Dr Koh Cheng Gee
