​TOPNet 1st Annual Symposium

INTRODUCTION
 

TOPNet ( Targeting oxidative phosphorylation for the rational development of sterilizing drug combination for drug-resistant tuberculosis Network) is focused on creating new improved treatments for Tuberculosis (TB). The network is funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) Competitive Research Programme (CRP), Singapore since November 2017. TOPNet is a consortium of experts from the Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU), National University Singapore (NUS) and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore.

The 1st Annual Symposium From crisis to cures: New approaches to TB Drug discovery of TOPNet brings together renowned scientists, leaders and advisers of world-wide leading institutions in TB.

TRANSPORT
By Bus

Service 17 9 & 199
SBS Transit Ltd, a public bus company, provides two services, 179 and 199, between Boon Lay Bus Interchange (next to Boon Lay MRT Station) and the University. The services operate from 0600-2400 hrs on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 0630-0020hrs on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Service 179A
179A provides seasonal weekday short trips supplementing Service 179.

NTU shuttle bus service

Campus Rider
Campus Rider is a free shuttle bus service to and from Pioneer MRT station.

Free shuttle service to NTU for NTU students only
Ang Mo Kio Shuttle Service from Ang Mo Kio MRT station 
Bukit Gombak Shuttle Service from Bukit Gombak station sheltered bus stop (BS 43571). 
Marine Parade Shuttle Service from Marine Terrace 
Pasir Ris Shuttle Service from Pasir Ris MRT station 
Punggol Shuttle Service from Punggol MRT station 
Sengkang Shuttle Service from Sengkang MRT station 
Tampines Shuttle Service from Tampines MRT station 

By Train & Bus
The nearest train stations to NTU are Boon Lay (EW27) and Pioneer (EW28) on the East West Line operated by SMRT Corporation.

From Boon Lay station, make your way to the adjacent bus interchange. Services 179 & 199 will take you in to NTU.

From Pioneer station, hop on the Campus Rider which stops in front of BLD 649A.

If you are coming from Changi Airport and are travelling light, you can get on at Changi Airport (CG2), transfer at Tanah Merah (EW4) and take the train all the way to Boon Lay or Pioneer station. The journey takes just over an hour.

By Taxi

By Car
The university is flanked by the PIE to the south and Jalan Bahar to the east. There are two entrances, the Jalan Bahar entrance and the Pioneer North entrance. It you're coming via the PIE, you want Exits 36 or 38 respectively.

About the Area
The Nanyang Technological University Campus is located within walking distance from the nearest public transport hub and University Shuttle buses. The campus is conveniently located in Singapore, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the center of Singapore from the campus by public transportation. It takes about 35 min to reach the campus from the Singapore International Airport.
